The flood had come To take me away And usher me in To Judgement day. The waves broke Across my life Drenching me with Pain and strife. Hell awaited Deceiving me If I could die I’d be set free. Blinded by sin I didn’t know The Hand I once held Had never let go. Before I slipped To eternity You reached down To rescue me. To Hell and Death You hold the key In the Hand that Was nailed to the tree. The flood that sought To take me away Ushered me in to A brand new day. A rainbow broke Across my night The colours were Such a lovely sight. As the water and storm Ebbed away You brought this child Home to stay. Not home to heaven Or hell below But to Your side Your Love to know. From a dreadful dream I awoke to see The rainbow you had Made for me. I know why I Escaped the flood The reason is clear It is the Blood.
