I saw the sparkle of Heaven
Whisper across your face
What cut of the gem of your life
Allowed me to glimpse Heaven in this place
It’s the cut of the Gem
That catches the light
The Master Craftsman
Only He does it just right
I see He’s worked you
With Divine precision
When Heaven’s Beauty
Catches my vision
Brilliant diamond
Emerald light
Sapphire shine
Red ruby so bright
Heaven’s jewels are all divine
From the dust of earth
From which we come
Jesus makes jewels
Whose day will never be done
To colour the ruby in you
Glorious red
He dips His brush
In His Blood, shed
Emerald green is gleaned
From His unique humanity
Like the grass of the field
No other human could yield
Sapphire blue
Drawn from
The King within
Heavenly blue He dips into
It’s the cut of the gem
He took all of them
To redeem beauty
From sin’s shame
So we wouldn’t have
To stay the same
JESUS - God’s Diamond
Unsurpassed
In flawless beauty
The Gem from which
All gems are made
His beauty will never fade
His Hand alone
Knows the cut of the gem
He alone can bring Divine Beauty
Out of fallen men
If His knife cuts you
When life cuts you
Prepare to shine
With His Light Divine
The difference between
The small gems of earth
And His Living Gems
Of infinite worth
Is for the shine, to gain,
The price is pain
He is the Light
The world needs to see
He can only be seen
Reflected in you and me
So open your heart
Submit to His Knife
Let Him cut to reflect
His Divine Light
To bring the Beauty of Jesus
Into the world’s sight
His Scars shine forth
With Golden Light
His Pain is past
Their Beauty will last
If ever a gem
Of infinite worth
Knew the cut of the knife
So deep it took His life
The pain of those cuts
The scars left behind
Of His Love for us
Will always remind
The cut lets
Heaven shine out
That’s what its
All about
Breath taking Beauty
In you and me
For the perishing lost
To see
‘JESUS’
Not us
Reflect Him for them
Show Him forth
Wear your scars, like medals
Don’t abhor – and miss
The glory that’s in store
He is the One
We are to obey
He is the One
We are to display
Clear His stage
Make room and time
For God’s Glorious Diamond
JESUS- To shine
And all the living jewels
That He has made
Will display His Glory
With a Heavenly Shine
That will never fade
