My name is Cherie. I have been a Christian for 28 years. I discovered Jesus at the age of 17. All the years I have lived since then, are a result of that Divine encounter. I was lost, bitter and angry with the world and disgusted with what I had seen of man’s inhumanity to man, both in my small world and the planet in general. | | I decided to make a strong statement of deep heartfelt protest by turning my back on it and stepping off the planet. I asked the thin air around me “Jesus, if you are real please show yourself to me. I survived a suicide attempt and soon after, when I gave Him the chance He answered my prayer. Meeting Jesus via a Divine Encounter changed everything. I fell in love is the simplest way I can put it. Divine love of course is a trillion times more potent and perfect and profound than the very best of ordinary human love down here. And so I lived and all these years, He has kept me. My burning passion after discovering Him was to introduce all my friends and family to Him. Then this grew, as I realized that He deserved multitudes – not just a few. So I set out to bring the world to Jesus or Jesus to the world. I married and later had two children. My husband was in the ministry from the first day I met him. He was my New Converts Leader, then Youth Leader. Eventually he became a full time Pastor and we served Jesus in that capacity for approximately 18 years. We have experienced the heights and depths over those years. We discovered that “The Ministry” was not Fantasyland – yes it had its glorious times and many blessings, but it also had its times of disappointment and pain. From my early years as a Christian, I found a good avenue of release in communicating my experience of the Lord was in writing poetry. As I have gone through the different seasons of the Christian life I have been graced with the ability to write down those experiences in simple verse form. I have written over 100 poems, and as I have felt the Lord’s leading, I have set up this Poetry Website, to share some of them with others. Many of the poems express God’s Grace in my life, in bringing me through difficulties and turning my defeats into victories. I share some of them with you with the prayer that you too may find His Grace and Victory. The main point I want to communicate is that God is an everywhere and everyone God. Love Cherie
